The Böker Applegate-Fairbairn is a tactical knife that has earned the trust of task forces around the world and has become a true icon over time. This tactical knife is based on the classic Fairbairn-Sykes dagger design from World War II and was designed by Colonel Rex Applegate. This elite soldier coordinated covert operations throughout Europe during the war and was even assigned to personally protect President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He trained Allied special units in hand-to-hand combat and founded the "School for Spies and Assassins" at present-day Camp David. Later, he continued to work as a consultant and instructor, wrote numerous books on close combat techniques, and began to develop and improve the perfect combat knife.
The smaller and more maneuverable version of the Böker Applegate-Fairbairn was developed according to the same concept as the original version. The fiberglass plastic handle, equipped with integrated stainless steel weights, ensures a secure grip and the brass guard provides additional safety. The 440C stainless steel blade has a double tapered edge on one side and a concave edge on the other side. Comes with a handy Kydex sheath and matching belt adapter.
