A tourniquet is an essential tool for providing first aid in emergencies. To ensure this crucial piece of equipment is always within reach, M-Tac continuously updates its line of tourniquet accessories.
M-Tac has developed and released the Closed Flap Tourniquet Pouch. The main difference compared to previous models is its fully closed design, which provides reliable protection of the contents from dirt and dust.
There is a webbing pull loop on the front. By pulling it firmly, the pouch can be opened quickly and easily for immediate access to the tourniquet.
The bottom opening can be adjusted using a special locking system. In the closed position, the lock is attached to the Velcro panel, preventing the bottom from opening completely, so the tourniquet is accessible only from the top. If the lock is detached from the Velcro panel and placed inside, the bottom opens fully, facilitating easier removal of the contents.
Additionally, the front features a Velcro panel with the distinctive “cross” symbol, allowing quick identification as a medical item. The panel offers sufficient space for similarly sized patches (for example, blood type identifiers).
The pouch is made from Cordura Squadron, a high-quality material resistant to abrasion and heavy use. An elastic band on the side allows attachment of a marker.
On the back are two Velcro flaps. These enable attachment of the pouch to the bottom of a plate carrier or to its sides. For installation, remove the modular insert, secure the pouch using the Velcro flaps, then reinstall the insert in its original position.
